What is a Masterclass?
-A Masterclass is when a singer performs a short excerpt (32 bar cut/anywhere between a minute and 90 seconds in length) of a song in a simulated audition like setting. Then the teacher coaches the singer on ways to improve while the audience watches and learns. ZAM Masterclasses will be two hours in length, will feature a five minute introduction and ten minutes in the end for questions. Five people (and two alternates) will sing and be coached for approximately fifteen to twenty minutes each. You'll see below that there is one fee for people wishing to sing, and a lower fee for people wishing to just watch and learn (view/audit). If more than five people sign up to sing and be coached, those not chosen will be added to the waiting list and given first priority at our next Masterclass. People who sign up to sing will be contacted, via e-mail, letting them know they have been selected to sing. Singers will also be asked to sign in to the Zoom Meeting 30 minutes in advance for a virtual sound check. Singers will need to play their accompaniment from a second device (phone/iPad etc.). Singers should have their song memorized, know what the song is about, who wrote it and what show it's from. Ms. LoVetri will help you work on your voice and also your performance.
A Zoom link will be emailed to all paid participants on the day of the event, Upon registering, individuals will receive payment instruction.
All master classes are recorded and archived for viewing at a later date. Recordings will not be posted publicly and are used solely for the
educational purposes of the participants involved in the class.
